I at times wonder a lot about being 18 and above. A lot of people shared with me that once you start adulting you will feel like you are missing something.
I never gave it a thought because I am just an 18 year old, like I don't even know what it is to be 18.
Teenagers life is the most complex phase of the life that everyone is supposed to pass through. You will be facing such a life that you will start discovering your fears, know your strengths, name your weaknesses, you will be learning to accept changes, physical and mental.
And the most interesting thing about teenage is that you will experience first love, and may be also the first breakup. And this circumstance will either fix you or screw you. Something about being in love at an early age is that you will experience the most beautiful and the most worst thing on an equal probability. It might be for the better self if you would never define love. Because this generation, that is us are back of defining things instead living them. I at times feel that we have ruined the feeling of love and relationship.
I have been going to the park (something more like a walkers park) near my home these days and trust me I found a variety of emotions among people and kids over there. I think I can even say that, the kids playing in the park reminded me to be more open about feelings and emotions. I saw a girl smiling so purely that I was zoned out and smiled to myself looking at that girl.
In search of which is not worthy, we forgot what is the true beauty.
Everything we are doing, we are allocating time space and making things happen worse.
Instead of facing fears, we are trying to escape them by giving up on them.
Instead of enjoying every minute like the last minute, we are suffocating ourself by entering into wrong assumptions.
I will pass a statement for which I will never be guilty about,
"We millennials started feeling missing things even before being 18, because we stopped expressing to people in live and started living a digital life!"
Its a fact! PERIOD. And I blame social media for this may be...
What have we been missing?
That smile, that pure and whole heartedly smiling smile.!
The smile with no burdens behind it.
The smile with no pain hidden in it.
The smile which is not vague and
the smile which is meant to be lived!!
Before its too late and before you are left with the weary and tired thoughts of you,
Go to the mirror, Look at yourself and smile!!!
I don't know that if i could smile like a kid from bottom of my heart ...you managed to put our (teenagers) feelings in words and that's amazing...more than living the moment we r running to capture that moment 🙂
